Kumbabishekam at Sri Meenakshi-Sundareswarar temple(2009)

My hometown witnessed one of the colorful moments in this period.
Its the city of skyscrapers, lotus city called Madurai
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meenakshi_Temple).

Lakhs of devotees from various parts of the country witnessed the 'Astabandhana Maha Samprokshanam' and 'Kumbabishekam' of the famed Sri Meenakshi-Sundareswarar temple, one of the ancient and important Saivite temples here at Madurai on 8th April 2009.
Amid chanting of vedic hymns from the holy scriptures by more than 400 'Sivachariyars' (Saivite priests), sacred waters brought from various holy rivers in 180 Gundams (pots) across the country were poured on all the magnificent 'Gopurams'(temple towers ) at 0915 hrs.

At 0930 hrs, the Kumbabishekam (consecration) was performed to the 'Thanga Vimana'(golden tower) of Meenakshi Amman temple and 15 minutes later, the consecration was held on Sri Sundareswarar temple tower.

The ancient temple was dedicated to ''Lord Shiva'' (in the form of Sri Sundareswarar) and his consort, Goddess Parvathi (in the form of Sri Meenakshi).

The temple complex housing 12 magnificent Gopurams, was renovated at a cost of Rs 12 crore recently.

Special poojas and other rituals were performed to the presiding deities Lord Sundareswarar and his consort Goddess Meenakshi on the occasion.

More than 6,000 personnel from various units of the state police were deployed for bandobust duty.

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation operated special buses from various destinations in southern districts to Madurai, for the benefit of the devotees.

The district administration in coordination with various departments like health and police made elaborate arrangements for Kumbabishekam.

I am experiencing all these moments through online and kicking my imagination of being present there at that time with all festiv-sounds and spiritual sensations within. I miss you my Madurai !!

According to me life s abt how you perceive..its like a GIANT WHEEL !..

" it looks people going up and down frOm front view; and looks like cyclic process from side view; and looks that many come on TOP in different TIME from top view....."
so it depends from where you look at it..but all means the same...its on your perception..!!!

first International MEETING

hmmm...that was a Orientation program, at foreign university for masters,,. in his first voyage...

new environment,new air, new people.....everything was new....he felt that " I am an alien"

HE was so much confused...with piled up questions back in his mind........

...........many people came ..spoke....cracked jokes....tried to make him laugh...but they never win.......

atlast it was a break...actually lunch break.......

He went to a near by food stall....bought some local food....anyways to survive....

He found a table with a seat left out free....

it was already had students from saudi arabia,Japan,malaysia,pakistan,england........an himself INDIA.........

everyone introduced themselves.....a topic opened up...

the Saudi guy started "I miss the feasibility of Petroleum in my country",

japanese gal added "i miss my electronic flooding markets "

english guy said" i hate american system of being reversed of all english system"

malaysian guy added"i found tat american are pretty much lazy compared to my people"

pakistan guy said" i miss my food"

atlast Indian guy said" I miss my FAMILY and MY CULTURE"...



"everyone missed their special things that hey own back at home.....and Indian have family ,culture as their wealth and treasure to be owed and be proud of"

live..its ur life !!!!

y so?..

DON PLAY FOR OTHERS...LIVE FOR URSELF...NJOY FOR URSELF !!

never feel proud in arrogance,stiff.....

feel fresh !! enjoy the childlike nature in U....shout aloud for u, dance for u, sing for u......

play with kids..observe them...they are great teachers for cheers...!!

enjoy the aroma of colors !! smell the fresh taste !! color ur thoughts !!

don fake ur nature.....express..its never late and its never wrong in posing ur individuality....

time never rolls back!!!

never rest in praising others and cursing urself,,,u got NO RIGHTS as someone may hail u...dont hurt them !!!!....

love your surrounding.... love your movements..... care for urselves...

LIFE IS ALL ABOUT how u receive....!!!
